Research Interests:

Nanobiotechnology applications in molecular neuroscience, characterization of biological molecules in animal models, biosensor development, molecular biological and genetic manipulations of organisms for developing sustainable technologies.

Current Research:

Our laboratory is focused on applications of molecular biology and genetics in nanobiotechnology. We are working in collaboration with several groups from different scientific fields forming an interdisciplinary working environment for our students and researchers. Our interdisciplinary research areas include development of biosensors in collaboration with  research groups working in electronics, physics and chemistry; in vivo analysis of effects of biomimetic materials in collaboration with chemistry and nanotextile groups. We are also working on genetic manipulations and selections of microorganisms to improve the current methods in sustainable technologies using biological materials.
