Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Dr. Hilmi Güler visits UNAM to discuss energy projects

We were pleased and honored by Dr. Hilmi Güler’s visit to UNAM Institute of Materials Science and Nanotechnology, who has been briefed on potential applications of nanoscale science and technology in the field of renewable energy, solar energy in particular. Dr. Güler attended a meeting with UNAM faculty, and discussed the short and long term goals of the Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources. Several directions for research topics such as novel production techniques for thin film solar cells, improvements in dye sensitized solar cells by use of advancent organic dyes have been discussed. Dr. Güler also took a tour of the facilities and expressed his opinions on the recent developments in the establishment of new high-tech research centers in Turkey.
